Terms of use

These terms apply to the Rivals apps and to tryrivals.com. By creating an account you accept them. They are short on purpose; if something is unclear, write to welcome@tryrivals.com.

Who can use Rivals

You must be 13 or older. You're responsible for your account and for keeping access to the email you sign in with.

Play fair

Log what you actually did. In challenge chats, trash talk about the game is part of it; harassment, hate, threats, sexual content and spam are not. Don't use Rivals to break the law, copy or reverse-engineer the service, or access other people's accounts. We may remove content, end challenges or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

What you post (your name, photo, numbers and messages) stays yours. You let us store it and show it to the people in your challenges, only to run Rivals. Deleting your account removes it as described in the privacy policy.

Health

Rivals is a game, not medical advice. Challenges can push you; train within your limits and check with a doctor before starting anything intense, especially if you have a health condition. Numbers read from Apple Health, Health Connect or Strava are only as accurate as those sources.

Rivals Pro

Rivals is free to use with one live challenge at a time. Rivals Pro unlocks unlimited live challenges and custom challenges. It is sold through the App Store or Google Play as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices, including taxes, are shown in the app before you buy.

Renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

Free trial. If a plan includes a free trial, you're charged when it ends unless you cancel before. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy another plan.

Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Lifetime. Lifetime means Pro for as long as Rivals operates, on the account you bought it with.

Promo codes grant Pro for the period stated with the code, once per account. They can't be sold or exchanged for money, and we may cancel codes that were obtained or shared in bad faith.

The service

We work to keep Rivals running and your data safe, but the app is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut Rivals down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the app.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, for injuries from exercise you choose to do, or for content posted by other players. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer in the European Union.

Ending

You can stop using Rivals and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete account, or tryrivals.com/delete-account). We may end accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protections of your country's law.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change applies.
